The ''Mersey Beat'' is a former British weekly pop music newspaper. ''Mersey Beat'' was founded initially as a regional bi-weekley publication on 13 July 1961. In 1963 it began compiling a Top 20 chart based on around 10 stores and became a national paper. The charts and paper became weekly on 24 April 1964 and, following an investment in September 1964 by Brian Epstein, expanded the chart and sample size to become the first publication to announce a Top 100 on 3 December 1964.〔 On 6 March 1965 the paper was rebranded ''Music Echo'' and by 16 April 1966 the chart was no longer published—on 23 April 1966 the newspaper was incorporated into ''Disc'' which became ''Disc and Music Echo''. In the period when ''Mersey Beat'' published a chart there was no official singles chart; ''Record Retailer'' and the BBC jointly commissioned the British Market Research Bureau (BMRB) chart in February 1969. The first record chart in the United Kingdom was published in November 1952 by ''NME''. The Official Charts Company and Guinness' British Hit Singles & Albums consider this the canonical source for the British singles chart before 10 March 1960 and, after that date, the ''Record Retailer'' chart. However, ''NME'' continued to compile their own chart and publications ''Disc'' and ''Melody Maker'' also published charts in this period. Being no universally accepted chart, the BBC used aggregated results of charts from these three publications (and ''Record Mirror'' prior to 1952) to compile their own ''Pick of the Pops'' chart. Charts compiled by ''Mersey Beat'' had thirteen number-one singles that did not reach top spot in the ''Record Retailer'' chart; this included two singles from each of The Who and The Hollies. Notably, "19th Nervous Breakdown" reached number one on the ''Mersey Beat'' chart as well as ''Disc'', ''NME'', and ''Melody Maker'' charts. It topped the BBC's ''Pick of the Pops'' aggregated chart and was announced as number one on ''Top of the Pops''; however, because it did not reach number one on the ''Record Retailer'' chart it is omitted from The Official Charts Company's canon. ==Number-one singles== ;Key : – The song did not reach number one on the ''Record Retailer'' chart.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.theofficialcharts.com/all-the-number-ones-singles-list/_/1964/ )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.theofficialcharts.com/all-the-number-ones-singles-list/_/1965/ )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.theofficialcharts.com/all-the-number-ones-singles-list/_/1966/ )〕 : – The song spent a week at number one where it shared the top spot with another song. } | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "It's All Over Now" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "A Hard Day's Night" | ||align="center"|4 |- | || "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" | ||align="center"|3 |- | || "You Really Got Me" | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "Where Did Our Love Go"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | Herman's Hermits || "I'm Into Something Good" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Oh, Pretty Woman" | ||align="center"|6 |- | || "All Day and All of the Night" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Little Red Rooster" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "I Feel Fine" | ||align="center"|4 |-class="unsortable" !Artist!!Single〔!!Reached number 1〔!!Weeks at number 1〔 |- | || "Yeh Yeh" | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor="pink" | Twinkle || "Terry"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Go Now" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "Tired of Waiting for You" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "I'll Never Find Another You" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "The Last Time" | ||align="center"|4 |- | || "The Minute You're Gone" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Ticket to Ride" | ||align="center"|4 |- | || "King of the Road" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "Where Are You Now (My Love)" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Long Live Love" | ||align="center"|1 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "The Price of Love"† | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "I'm Alive" | ||align="center"|3 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "Looking Through the Eyes of Love"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Mr. Tambourine Man" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "Help!" | ||align="center"|4 |- | Sonny & Cher || "I Got You Babe" | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" | ||align="center"|1 |- | Sonny & Cher || "I Got You Babe" | ||align="center" bgcolor="lightgreen"| 2 |- | || "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" | ||align="center" bgcolor="lightgreen"| 1〔 |- | || "Tears" | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "If You Gotta Go, Go Now"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Tears" | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "Here It Comes Again"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "Get Off of My Cloud" | ||align="center"|1 |-bgcolor="pink" | || "My Generation"† | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "The Carnival Is Over" | ||align="center"|1 |-class="unsortable" !Artist!!Single〔!!Reached number 1〔!!Weeks at number 1〔 |- | || "Day Tripper" / "We Can Work It Out" | ||align="center"|5 |- | || "Keep On Running" | ||align="center"|3 |- | || "Michelle" | ||align="center"|2 |- | || "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" | ||align="center"|2 |-bgcolor=pink | || "19th Nervous Breakdown"† | ||align="center"|1 |-bgcolor=pink | Small Faces || "Sha-La-La-La-Lee"† | ||align="center"|1 |-bgcolor=pink | || "I Can't Let Go"† | ||align="center"|1 |- | || "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" | ||align="center"|3 |- | || "Somebody Help Me" | ||align="center"|1 |} * In April 1966, ''Mersey Beat'' was incorporated into ''Disc''; see also List of ''Disc'' number-one singles. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「List of Mersey Beat number-one singles」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
